The Acer Nitro 17 offers a large screen and high refresh rates which are ideal for an immersive gaming experience and it benefits from a larger battery, though it is heavier and less portable. The ASUS Vivobook 16X is lighter and offers better portability and a higher screen resolution which might be beneficial for productivity tasks, design work, and entertainment, yet it has a smaller battery and might not last as long on a charge. If your priorities lean towards gaming, the Acer Nitro 17 could be preferred, while if you seek a balance between performance and mobility for diverse tasks, the ASUS Vivobook 16X is likely a better choice. How the Acer Nitro 17 and the ASUS Vivobook 16X compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 17 isn't an exceptional gaming laptop; it's kind of chunky even among 17.3-inch notebooks, with a lackluster keyboard, and it doesn't outperform comparably priced machines. But there's a lot to like about it, including a good array of ports, a screen that's sharp and bright for work and play alike, and battery life that soundly beats the competition. All this comes at an affordable price. If size and weight aren't big concerns, you'll find the Nitro 17 a dependable big-screen gaming rig. If you crave higher quality, consider a slight step down or up in screen size with the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 or Alienware m18 respectively."
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
