The Acer Nitro 17 is a midrange gaming laptop with a large 17.3-inch display, which is ideal for a more immersive gaming and multimedia experience. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics card, making it well-suited for gaming and other graphics-intensive tasks such as 3D rendering and machine learning. It comes with 1024 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM, providing ample space and memory for various applications. The IPS display has a high refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals in fast-paced games. However, the larger screen size and the hardware dedicated to performance contribute to the laptop's weight at 6.83 pounds and relatively short battery life of about 8 hours, which affects its portability. The laptop has a backlit keyboard with a number pad and supports hardware ray tracing and DLSS for enhanced gaming visuals. Despite not being tagged as a premium business laptop, it offers solid general use and engineering performance. It was released in May 2023 and comes with Windows 11 Home installed. Give Feedback

PCMag

Mark Knapp | October 2023
"The Acer Nitro 17 isn't an exceptional gaming laptop; it's kind of chunky even among 17.3-inch notebooks, with a lackluster keyboard, and it doesn't outperform comparably priced machines. But there's a lot to like about it, including a good array of ports, a screen that's sharp and bright for work and play alike, and battery life that soundly beats the competition. All this comes at an affordable price. If size and weight aren't big concerns, you'll find the Nitro 17 a dependable big-screen gaming rig. If you crave higher quality, consider a slight step down or up in screen size with the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 or Alienware m18 respectively."
