For general use, the Acer Aspire Go 15 is a cost-effective choice with a decent performance for everyday tasks, a good quality screen, and excellent battery life, making it a strong contender if you prioritize portability and longevity on a single charge. However, it falls short in gaming and intensive tasks due to its less powerful processor and lack of a dedicated GPU. On the other hand, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17, while pricier, offers a significant performance boost with its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti graphics card and more powerful Intel i5-11400H processor, making it suitable for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks. Its larger screen size enhances the visual experience, but this comes at the cost of reduced portability due to its larger size and heavier weight. The ASUS also has better color coverage for a more vibrant display, which is great for entertainment and creative work. In summary, if you need a laptop for general use and value battery life and portability, the Acer is a solid choice. However, if you're looking to play games, or perform demanding tasks like 3D rendering or machine learning, and you don't mind a bulkier device, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 would be the better option. NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | April 2022
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
