The LG Gram 16 is a better fit for those who need a more color-accurate screen, with a higher price than the LG Ultra 16. For those prioritizing battery life over screen precision and seeking a more affordable option, the LG Ultra 16 with greater storage capacity makes sense. The LG Ultra 16 could serve well for general use and the LG Gram 16 might be preferable for tasks where color accuracy is key. Both models should offer silent operation, but keep in mind that the LG Gram 16 is slightly lighter, enhancing portability. Neither is designed for intensive gaming. Give Feedback

The LG Gram 16 has a better screen than the LG Ultra 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The LG Gram 16 likely offers a higher resolution and brightness, which makes it more appealing for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work where clarity and visibility are crucial. For engineering and design, the LG Gram 16's superior color gamut coverage enables more accurate color reproduction, a key factor in tasks requiring precise color matching. However, for gaming and 3D applications where fluid motion is critical, the LG Gram 16 falls short due to a lower refresh rate, which can result in less smooth visuals compared to screens specifically optimized for these uses.

The LG Gram 16 and LG Ultra 16 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The LG Gram 16's fair gaming and 3D capabilities are due to its integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and standard 60Hz screen refresh rate. Neither laptop is specialized for gaming, which often requires dedicated GPUs and higher refresh rates, but both can handle lighter gaming and 3D applications reasonably well thanks to their capable CPUs and sufficient screen resolutions.

How the LG Gram 16 and the LG Ultra 16 compare to other laptops
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
"Unlike the gram, the Ultra PC isn't designed to be as lightweight as possible. The 16-inch laptop is a whole 400 g (0.88 lb) heavier than its 16-inch gram counterpart partly because its chassis is not made of magnesium. Other than that, the Ultra PC seems like a copy of the gram – but with longer battery life, lower noise levels, and a clean, delicate look."
