If you prioritize a lower price and longer battery life for basic tasks like web browsing and document editing, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is a suitable option. However, the MSI Summit E16 Flip, while more expensive, offers better performance for tasks like 3D modeling, machine learning, and even gaming due to its stronger processor and graphics card. Its screen is also superior for color-sensitive work and it sports a 2-in-1 design with a touchscreen for added versatility. Be aware that the MSI model is slightly heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to the Lenovo. Give Feedback

The MSI Summit E16 Flip and Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" are both good for general use, though the MSI Summit E16 Flip is somewhat better.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" offers a solid balance for general use with its competent AMD Ryzen CPU, ample RAM, and a decent IPS screen for clear visuals, coupled with good portability due to its light weight and relatively long battery life; it's also known for its excellent heat management, which contributes to its performance stability. Meanwhile, the MSI Summit E16 Flip steps up with a higher-resolution and more color-accurate display, more RAM for multitasking, a more powerful Intel processor suited for heavier tasks, and additional features like a 2-in-1 convertible design, though it is slightly heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable but more versatile for demanding applications.

The MSI Summit E16 Flip and Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" are both only fair for gaming and AI, though the MSI Summit E16 Flip is somewhat better.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is fair for gaming and 3D because it uses an integrated AMD GPU, which is less powerful than dedicated ones, and it has a standard screen refresh rate of 60Hz. In contrast, the MSI Summit E16 Flip is good for such tasks with its superior Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti dedicated graphics card and a high refresh rate of 165Hz, resulting in more fluid visuals and better handling of fast-paced scenes.

The MSI Summit E16 Flip is good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" with its AMD Ryzen processor and integrated Vega 8 graphics is suitable for lighter engineering and design tasks, but may struggle with more intense applications, whereas the MSI Summit E16 Flip's higher-end Intel i7 CPU and dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPU provide greater performance necessary for demanding engineering software and complex design work. Additionally, the MSI Summit offers a higher resolution and better screen quality which is crucial for precise design, but it is slightly heavier and less portable than the Lenovo, a factor to consider if frequent mobility is required.

The MSI Summit E16 Flip has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15", with its fair screen resolution and brightness, provides an adequate display for tasks like browsing and document editing, but its limited color range and average brightness fall short for detailed engineering work or enjoying vibrant graphics. The MSI Summit E16 Flip, with its higher resolution and better color accuracy, offers a crisp and vivid experience for professional design work and enhances detail, but both laptops lack the higher refresh rate preferred for smooth visuals in gaming and dynamic 3D modeling. Although the MSI Summit E16 Flip has superior display qualities for general use and engineering, gamers and 3D artists may find both displays lacking for their specialized needs.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" and the MSI Summit E16 Flip compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
"The MSI Summit E16 Flip is a 2-in-1 laptop with pen, 16:10 display, and RTX 3050 Ti. The Summit E16 Flip is a 2-in-1 laptop from the business segment that primarily targets creative users. MSI combines a 16-inch touchscreen in the 16:10 format with a powerful midrange GPU. While the 2-in-1 laptop from MSI isn't meant for everybody, it should definitely attract some followers. The touchscreen display (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) covers the DCI-P3 color space. This is accompanied by stable viewing angles, a good color reproduction, short response times, and a good contrast level."
