If you prioritize performance for tasks like gaming or engineering, the MSI Stealth 17 with top-tier graphics and processing power is the better choice, though you'll compromise on portability due to its size and weight. On the other hand, if portability, battery life, and a lower cost are more important to you for general use or less intensive tasks, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" will serve you well despite its relatively lesser power and performance capabilities. The MSI Stealth 17 is very good for general use, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is good.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" with its lower weight and higher estimated battery life offers more portability and is suitable for general use activities, but it has less powerful CPU and RAM compared to the MSI Stealth 17, which has a high-performance CPU and ample RAM, making it better for demanding tasks, though this results in a heavier build and shorter battery life.

The MSI Stealth 17 is excellent for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" has a more basic GPU and a screen refresh rate of 60Hz, making it only fair for gaming and 3D applications, while the MSI Stealth 17 boasts a top-tier GPU and a high 240Hz screen refresh rate, rendering it excellent for these uses. The Stealth 17's superior screen quality and more powerful CPU also contribute to its edge in performance, albeit at a higher price and less portability due to its weight and size.

The MSI Stealth 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" has a display that provides enough clarity and brightness for tasks like web browsing and document editing, but its color range and refresh rate are not suited for precise engineering work or the fast-paced visuals required by modern gaming and 3D applications. In contrast, the MSI Stealth 17 offers a high-quality display with a broader color gamut, crucial for professional engineering and design work where color accuracy is vital. However, despite its superior resolution and panel quality for detail-oriented tasks, the MSI Stealth 17's lower refresh rate may not deliver the smoothest experience in games and 3D programs, where higher refresh rates are essential for fluid motion.

"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
"The MSI Stealth 17 Studio is a laptop with a quiet RTX 4080 for almost every occasion. The MSI Stealth 17 Studio is equally capable of high-level media processing and playing current games. It remains pleasantly quiet, even if a few percentage points of power have had to be sacrificed in the process. But, it is not quite perfect: To some extent, the Stealth 17 is well thought out. It packs tons of graphics power and high-end components in a slim case. The laptop's cooling system can be set such that, noise-wise, it doesn't even reach low volume. However, small flaws cloud otherwise exceptionally positive impressions."
