The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is less expensive and offers good performance for general use with reasonable battery life, making it suitable for everyday tasks and some light gaming. Its larger screen and number pad on the keyboard provide a comfortable user experience, although it may not be as portable due to its size and weight. On the other hand, the MSI Prestige 16 is priced higher but boasts significantly better performance, especially for engineering, 3D rendering, and machine learning, thanks to its more powerful processor and RAM. It also has a high-resolution screen with superior color accuracy for creative work, and while its battery life is shorter, it's more portable with a better build quality. Choose the Lenovo for cost-effective general use or the MSI if you require high performance for intensive tasks and value portability and display quality. Give Feedback

The MSI Prestige 16 is very good for general use, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is good.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 offers ample RAM and a capable Ryzen CPU with integrated graphics which is suitable for everyday tasks, and its 10 hours of typical battery life combined with a lighter weight make it convenient for portability. The MSI Prestige 16, on the other hand, provides superior performance with a more powerful Intel CPU, double the RAM, and enhanced screen quality, but this comes with a higher weight and slightly less battery life, which may affect portability and usage on the go.

The MSI Prestige 16 and Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" are both only fair for gaming and AI, though the MSI Prestige 16 is somewhat better.
The MSI Prestige 16 stages a superior gaming and 3D performance over the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15", primarily because it's equipped with a more powerful GPU and a higher screen refresh rate, which are very important for smooth and detailed graphics. Additionally, while both have quality CPUs and screens, the MSI's higher screen quality and considerably stronger CPU contribute to a somewhat important improvement in overall experience during gaming and 3D tasks.

The MSI Prestige 16 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The MSI Prestige 16 stands out for engineering and design use with a robust processor, plentiful RAM, a superior integrated GPU, and a higher resolution screen that better fits such tasks, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 offers a less powerful CPU, less RAM, an inferior GPU, and a lower resolution screen. Despite the IdeaPad 1 being more portable and having a slightly quieter operation, the Prestige 16's superior hardware and better screen quality far outweigh these aspects when it comes to engineering and design performance.

The MSI Prestige 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo IdeaPad's screen has an adequate panel type, resolution, and brightness suitable for everyday tasks and productivity but may appear lackluster for color-intensive work in engineering and design, and lacks high refresh rates needed for smooth gaming and 3D applications. The MSI Prestige offers a superior screen with higher resolution and brightness, beneficial for both general use and detail-oriented work, and also covers a wider color gamut, making it more precise for engineering and design professionals. However, both laptops have screens with lower refresh rates, which means they are less optimal for gaming and 3D work where fluid motion is crucial.

"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
"The MSI Prestige 16 Evo: 2023's best value 16” thin & light laptop with i7-13700H. One of the top choices for professionals and students seeking a high-performance, portable computing solution in 2023. While the MSI Prestige 16 Evo A13M may not boast the most striking design compared to some other 16" options, its relatively "safe" styling lends itself well to professional and educational environments. Significantly, it doesn't compromise on essential features like port selection or cooling performance, ensuring seamless connectivity and efficient thermal management. The 16 Evo A13M offers an excellent combination of performance, portability, and functionality, making it a compelling choice for professionals and students alike."
