The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is a less expensive option with more storage and a slightly larger screen, but it has a lower battery capacity and is heavier compared to the LG Gram 16, which is a bit pricier but offers a high-resolution display, more RAM for multitasking, and a significantly lighter build for easy portability. The LG Gram also has a longer battery life, making it more suitable for on-the-go use without frequent charging. Consider the Lenovo if storage and cost are priorities, or the LG Gram if portability, screen quality, and battery life are more important for your needs. Give Feedback

The LG Gram 16 is good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 with an AMD Ryzen CPU and integrated Vega graphics is decent for engineering and design tasks, but the LG Gram 16 offers superior screen resolution and quality, more RAM for complex projects, and a more potent Intel CPU with Iris Xe graphics, which could translate to better performance in demanding applications. While the IdeaPad is satisfactory and offers fair portability and operating noise, the LG Gram excels with higher portability due to its lighter build and silent operation, alongside a better keyboard and screen quality for detailed work.

The LG Gram 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 offers a basic screen that is adequate for tasks like browsing and watching videos, but the LG Gram 16 provides a higher resolution and brighter display, making it better for reading text and viewing content. In engineering and design, color accuracy is crucial, and the LG Gram 16's coverage of professional color gamuts ensures more precise and vivid color representation, which is essential for detailed work, compared to the more limited gamut of the IdeaPad 1. When it comes to 3D and gaming, however, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, which means they can't display fast-moving images as smoothly as dedicated gaming laptops, although their resolutions and panel types are sufficient for a casual experience.

The LG Gram 16 and Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" are both good for general use.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" offers a robust AMD Ryzen 7 processor with good screen quality and ample RAM for multitasking, making it reliable for general use, although it's heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to LG Gram 16, which boasts a high-resolution screen, ultra-lightweight portability, and long battery life, while still delivering strong performance through its Intel i7 processor and ample RAM, catering well for general use demands. The tradeoff between them lies in choosing the IdeaPad's lower cost and additional storage space over the Gram's superior screen quality, lightweight design, and extended battery life.

The LG Gram 16 and Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" are both only fair for gaming and AI.
Both the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" and the LG Gram 16 are labeled as fair for gaming and 3D because while they have adequate CPUs and high-quality screens, they are limited by their integrated graphics units and standard refresh rates, which are less favorable for the high demands of modern gaming and 3D applications. The Lenovo and LG laptops offer competent processing and display quality, but for activities heavily reliant on GPU performance and high refresh rates, these laptops only provide baseline functionality suitable for casual or less graphically-intensive games.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
