The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is a more affordable, lighter device with a longer battery life, suited for general use and casual activities. However, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" has a larger, sharper display, better performance for 3D tasks, machine learning, and gaming, enhanced heat management, and higher-quality build, keyboard, and speakers, making it better suited for engineering and intensive gaming. Keep in mind the Legion Slim is a bit more expensive and heavier, which may affect its portability. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is very good for general use, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is good.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is good for general use with a strong processor, ample RAM, and a quality IPS screen, but offers less storage and a shorter battery life which limits its on-the-go usefulness compared to the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16". The Legion Slim, with its superior processor, more RAM, a higher resolution and brighter display, along with better keyboard and speaker quality, ranks as very good for general use despite being slightly heavier and having a reduced battery life, suggesting a tradeoff between enhanced performance and portability.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1's screen may not be as sharp or vivid due to its lower resolution and brightness compared to the Lenovo Legion Slim 7, which offers a crisper and brighter display that enhances viewing and usability. In engineering and design, the Legion Slim 7 stands out with a wider range of colors, crucial for accuracy in high-detail tasks, while the IdeaPad 1's narrower color spectrum may not render the subtleties of design work as precisely. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications, the Legion Slim 7's lack of a high refresh rate can hinder the smoothness of motion, which is essential for a seamless experience, despite its superior resolution and panel type; this affects both models, potentially leading to less fluid visuals during fast-paced scenes.

"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
