The HP Envy 17 offers a larger screen, a comfortable keyboard with a number pad, and longer battery life, at a lower price than the MSI Stealth GS66, making it more suitable for general use and productivity tasks. However, the MSI Stealth GS66 comes with a powerful dedicated graphics card, a higher screen refresh rate for smoother visuals, and is lighter in weight, which is more suitable for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks. If you prioritize performance for gaming and demanding applications and are willing to pay a premium, the MSI would be the choice, while for everyday tasks and longer battery needs at a more affordable price, the HP would be sufficient. NotebookCheck

Marcus Schwarten | April 2023
"In our test, the HP Envy 17-cr0079ng presents itself as a balanced multimedia laptop. Thanks to its solid CPU performance and dedicated entry-level GeForce, it can also be used for playing video games, as long as the demands aren't too high. Those looking for more can find it in the Dell XPS 17 for example."

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | February 2022
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
