The HP Envy 17 and the HP Victus 15 cater to different needs due to their distinct features. If you prioritize screen size and higher quality visuals for tasks like content creation or watching movies, the Envy 17 with its larger display might be the better option despite being more expensive. The Victus 15, on the other hand, is equipped with a dedicated Nvidia graphics card, which suggests better performance for gaming or graphic-intensive tasks, and it is slightly more affordable. Both laptops offer the same storage capacity, but Envy 17 has more RAM, which can be beneficial for multitasking and demanding applications. Consider also the Envy 17's slightly heavier weight, which could affect portability compared to the lighter Victus 15. Finally, the battery performance and specific connectivity options might sway your decision based on your needs for mobility and peripheral devices. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Marcus Schwarten | April 2023
"In our test, the HP Envy 17-cr0079ng presents itself as a balanced multimedia laptop. Thanks to its solid CPU performance and dedicated entry-level GeForce, it can also be used for playing video games, as long as the demands aren't too high. Those looking for more can find it in the Dell XPS 17 for example."

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
