The Gigabyte G5 offers higher performance suitable for gaming and more demanding engineering tasks with its stronger GPU but has shorter battery life and heavier build which reduces portability. In contrast, the LG Ultra 16, while less powerful in graphics performance, provides longer battery life, a lighter and more portable build, plus it operates quietly due to its fanless design. The LG Ultra also has a larger screen with a higher resolution and aspect ratio, offering a better viewing experience for general use and productivity but may not be as suitable for intensive gaming or demanding 3D applications. Choose the Gigabyte G5 for performance-heavy tasks, or the LG Ultra 16 for daily productivity with mobility and battery life in mind. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte G5 has a better screen than the LG Ultra 16 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the LG Ultra 16 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the Gigabyte G5 and LG Ultra 16 offer screens with adequate resolution and brightness, but they may not provide the premium panel quality that can enhance the viewing experience. In the context of engineering and design, their fair screen quality suggests that while they are capable of displaying a range of colors, they may lack the wide color gamut coverage professionals need for precise color work. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications, their poor screen quality is likely due to lower refresh rates, which can detract from the smoothness and responsiveness critical in these fast-paced visuals.

How the Gigabyte G5 and the LG Ultra 16 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte G5 KE is a midrange gaming laptop that checks most boxes. Gigabyte makes good use of the Core i5-12500H and RTX 3060 Laptop GPU combo, and we find no untoward issues with overall performance. The dual-fan quad-heatpipe cooling arrangement does well to ensure that the underlying hardware doesn't throttle under load. That being said, the display is below par when compared to 2023 standards, especially when competing devices."
"Unlike the gram, the Ultra PC isn't designed to be as lightweight as possible. The 16-inch laptop is a whole 400 g (0.88 lb) heavier than its 16-inch gram counterpart partly because its chassis is not made of magnesium. Other than that, the Ultra PC seems like a copy of the gram – but with longer battery life, lower noise levels, and a clean, delicate look."
