If you prioritize gaming or require high-performance for 3D rendering, machine learning tasks, or engineering, the Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a strong choice with its dedicated Nvidia graphics card and better heat management; however, it is more expensive and less portable due to its size and weight. Alternatively, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is more affordable and offers significantly better battery life and portability, making it suitable for general use, and it comes with a touch screen, but it might not handle intensive tasks as well due to its integrated graphics. The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is better suited for gaming and 3D tasks because it has a more robust GPU, the Nvidia RTX 4060, and a higher screen refresh rate of 360, which makes for smoother visuals. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" uses an integrated Vega 8 GPU and a standard 60 refresh rate, which means it can handle only less demanding gaming and 3D applications.

The Gigabyte Aorus 7 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 7 offers a display with higher resolution and brightness, making it excellent for general use, and it covers a wide color gamut necessary for accurate work in engineering and design. However, it's less ideal for gaming and 3D applications due to a lower refresh rate, which can limit the smoothness of motion visuals. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" provides adequate resolution and brightness for day-to-day tasks and basic design work but similarly falls short for gaming and 3D because of its refresh rate, along with limited color coverage.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 7 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
