The Gigabyte Aorus 17G is a premium option that excels in gaming and engineering tasks because of its powerful graphics card and processor but is less portable and has a shorter battery life. In contrast, the HP Spectre x360 is more affordable, lighter, and has a longer battery life, making it better for general use; it also has a high-resolution touchscreen suitable for creative tasks but is not ideal for intensive gaming or specialized engineering software due to its less powerful integrated graphics. The Gigabyte Aorus 17G has a better screen than the HP Spectre x360 for gaming and AI, while the HP Spectre x360 has a better screen for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the Gigabyte Aorus 17G and HP Spectre x360 offer high-resolution displays with bright panels that ensure clear and vibrant images, making them suitable for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming. With engineering and design work prioritizing color accuracy, the HP Spectre x360 stands out with its superior color gamut, which is essential for professionals needing precise color representation for their projects. However, for gaming or working with 3D applications, neither laptop is ideal due to their lower refresh rates, which can limit the smoothness and responsiveness that these tasks often require.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17G and the HP Spectre x360 compare to other laptops
"The Aorus 17G isn't among the top RTX 3080 laptops due to its relatively low TGP of 105 watts. The device's gaming performance is average for an RTX 3080. For maximum performance, competitors like the Lenovo Legion 7 or the Alienware m17 R4 are recommended With the Aorus 17G, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded gaming laptop. However, the device generates a high noise level. Throttling is not an issue. The CPU and GPU can develop their performance uniformly. Nevertheless, the device produces a lot of noise under load - more than many competitors."
"As we said, Lenovo's Yoga 9i is a tough competitor to the Spectre with an equally admirable OLED display. We're sad that neither of them has an HDMI port nor a niche or slot to hold the stylus, though the HP wins points for its bundled mini docking station and magnetically attached pen. Your choice will come down to screen shape—and in our eyes, just as seeing an OLED screen spoils you for an IPS panel, enjoying a tall 3:2 display spoils you for a more conventional view. The HP Spectre x360 13.5 is our new favorite 2-in-1."
