The Gigabyte Aero 16 usually costs more and offers a larger and higher resolution OLED screen, which is excellent for vibrant colors in creative work but is limited to a lower refresh rate, making it less ideal for fast-paced gaming. It boasts higher storage capacity, an Intel i7 processor with Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics ideal for demanding engineering and 3D tasks, and a substantial battery. The Lenovo Legion Slim 5, more budget-friendly, features a Ryzen 5 processor with Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics suitable for general use and moderate gaming but may fall short in intensive engineering applications. It has an IPS display with a higher refresh rate beneficial for gaming. Both have the same amount of RAM, a 16-inch screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, and similar battery life scores, with the Gigabyte being slightly less portable due to higher weight. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aero 16 and Lenovo Legion Slim 5 are both very good for engineering and design, though the Gigabyte Aero 16 is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aero 16, equipped with a high-end CPU and GPU plus impressive screen quality featuring OLED technology and full coverage of professional color spaces, is well-suited for engineering and design tasks that require both performance and color accuracy. Conversely, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 has a robust CPU and GPU for computing tasks and a good quality IPS display, balancing performance and portability for engineering and design, though it may not match the Aero in terms of color reproduction for the most color-critical work.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 boasts a high-resolution display that brings out sharp and vivid details, making it great for general use and ideal for professionals in engineering and design who require accurate color reproduction offered by its wide color gamuts. However, its lower refresh rate can disappoint gamers and 3D modelers who seek the smooth visuals that are essential for fast-paced gaming and fluid 3D rendering. On the other hand, while the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 provides ample clarity and suitable color accuracy for both general users and those in engineering and design, its screen similarly falls short for gaming and 3D tasks due to an insufficient refresh rate for those particular activities.

How the Gigabyte Aero 16 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."
