If you are looking for a more affordable option for general use, the Gateway 14.1" laptop could be appropriate; it is less expensive and offers basic functionality for tasks like web browsing and office applications. However, for those who need high-end performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, engineering tasks, or gaming, the Razer Blade 15 is a better fit despite its higher price. The Razer Blade has a more powerful processor, higher quality graphics, and more RAM, which are necessary for intensive tasks. You'll also get a higher resolution display, but this comes with trade-offs in battery life and portability compared to the Gateway. Choose the Gateway for price and light use, or the Razer Blade for advanced capabilities and superior performance at a higher cost. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | September 2021
"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | March 2022
"The 2022 Blade 15 offers roughly 15 to 25 percent faster graphics performance and 20 percent faster CPU performance over last year's Core i7-11800H and RTX 3080 model. Thankfully, the system doesn't need to run noticeably louder or warmer to achieve faster results, but both power consumption and battery life take a hit. The higher consumption in particular appears to be a trend amongst many 12th gen Core laptops including the Schenker Uniwill Technology GM7AG8P or MSI Vector GP66 when compared to their previous generation counterparts. We're also glad to not see below-average CPU performance which was the case for the 10th gen Core i7-10875H model."
