The Gateway 14.1" is much less expensive compared to the LG Ultra 13, making it suitable for those with a tight budget. However, the LG Ultra 13 has a more powerful main processor and graphics, significantly more storage, and higher RAM, offering better performance for general use, engineering tasks, and 3D/machine learning applications. The LG Ultra 13 also has a brighter display with better color coverage and a longer battery life, enhancing its suitability for professional and multimedia use. Although the Gateway is larger, the LG is lighter and thus more portable, which might be beneficial for those who travel frequently or prefer a lighter device. Give Feedback

The LG Ultra 13 has a better screen than the Gateway 14.1" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Gateway 14.1" laptop may have a lower resolution and less vibrant display, making it just adequate for everyday tasks but lacking the detail and color accuracy needed for engineering and design work, and its lower refresh rate diminishes the gaming and 3D experience. In contrast, the LG Ultra 13 offers a higher resolution and better color representation that is suitable for more demanding general use and provides the precision required for professional design, although it too falls short for gaming and 3D as refresh rate isn't its strong suit. Both laptops may not fully satisfy users looking for an optimal gaming or 3D rendering experience due to their less than ideal refresh rates, despite having acceptable display qualities for other uses.

"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."
"The 13.3-inch LG Gram is a fine fit if you need to travel as light as possible for as long as possible without spending a fortune to do it. It might not be particularly sturdy or have an eye-catching design and its webcam is less than ideal, but with its sharp touch display, comfortable backlit keyboard, responsive touchpad and a fingerprint reader for extra security, the Gram makes a respectible everyday laptop for business or school work."
