The LG Gram 16 is a better choice if you need a laptop with more power for tasks like engineering or 3D rendering, thanks to its faster processor and more RAM. It also has a larger, higher-resolution screen and longer battery life. On the other hand, the Gateway 14.1" is more affordable and could be suitable for general use with lighter tasks. It is also slightly more portable due to its smaller size, but it falls short in performance compared to the LG Gram 16. Consider the LG Gram 16 if you require a laptop for more demanding applications and are ready to invest more, or choose the Gateway 14.1" if you prioritize a budget-friendly option for everyday activities. "The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
