Since you are interested in the comparison between the Gateway 14.1" laptop and the HP 250 G10, especially considering the price difference, I’ll focus on the main aspects that differentiate these two laptops to help you make an informed decision. The Gateway may be less expensive, but you should consider if it meets your requirements for performance, battery life, and build quality. The HP might offer better durability, support, and possibly a more robust hardware configuration which could translate into better performance for more demanding tasks like running multiple programs simultaneously or more complex software. If portability and battery life are paramount, the lighter model with longer battery life would be preferable. Keep in mind that for gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, you'd want a laptop with a dedicated graphics card and plenty of RAM. Evaluate what you will mainly use the laptop for and if the savings on the Gateway justify any compromises in performance or build quality compared to the HP. Give Feedback

The Gateway 14.1" has a better screen than the HP 250 G10 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the HP 250 G10 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
If you need a laptop for general activities like browsing the web and using office applications, the Gateway's fair screen quality, with better resolution and brightness, will be suitable for those tasks, whereas the HP's lower quality display may not be as clear or vivid. For engineering and design work, where color accuracy is key, the Gateway offers fair performance because it covers a wider range of colors compared to the HP, which might make colors look less true to life. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the Gateway's screen isn't ideal due to lower refresh rates, which could lead to less fluid motion, while the HP also falls short in delivering the high-refresh experience preferred for those uses.

The HP 250 G10 and Gateway 14.1" are both poor for engineering and design.
The Gateway 14.1" laptop, with its low-powered Intel Celeron processor and limited 4 GB of RAM, falls short for engineering and design tasks which demand more robust performance, while its better screen quality is underutilized due to the weak CPU and GPU. In contrast, the HP 250 G10 features more RAM, which is beneficial, but the combination of a basic Intel processor and weaker screen quality makes it unfit for the graphics and multitasking workloads typically associated with engineering and design applications.

How the Gateway 14.1" and the HP 250 G10 compare to other laptops
"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."
"The HP 250 G10 is a decent budget device that surprises us with its high CPU frequencies under load. Still, our configuration has a Core i5-1335U which doesn’t require significant cooling, if choose a 28W P-series processor, maybe the situation with the clocks could be different. If you want to play some casual game after work, a memory in dual-channel is a must because it increases greatly the iGPU performance."
