If your primary focus is on affordability and basic tasks like web browsing or office work, the Gateway 14.1" is a more budget-friendly option that is lightweight and highly portable. It has lower storage and performance capabilities which are reflected in its price. On the other hand, if you’re seeking a laptop for more intensive tasks such as gaming, 3D work, or engineering software, the Gigabyte Aorus 7 is the better choice with significantly higher performance due to its powerful CPU and GPU. However, this laptop is less portable and comes at a notably higher cost. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | September 2021
"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."

TechRadar

Matt Hanson | July 2020
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
