The Gateway 14.1" is a budget-friendly option with less storage and a simpler Intel Celeron processor, suitable for basic tasks and general use. The 15.6" model costs more but offers significantly more power with an Intel i5 processor, more storage and memory, better equipped for demanding tasks like engineering and creative work. Both have the same screen resolution but the larger one may not be as portable due to its size and weight. Neither are tailored for intensive gaming or 3D applications. Base your decision on whether you prioritize cost and portability or require better performance for complex tasks. Give Feedback

The Gateway 15.6" has a better screen than the Gateway 14.1" for general use, content creation, and software development.
The Gateway 14.1" and 15.6" laptops have adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks like browsing or office work, but they may lack the vibrant colors or sharpness preferred by professionals in engineering and design. Furthermore, their panels don't cover a wide color gamut, meaning colors may not be as accurate or deep as needed for precise design work. For gaming and 3D applications, these laptops' screens have slower refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid and responsive visuals, detracting from the immersive experience and smooth gameplay.

"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
