The decision between the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the LG Ultra 16 should consider your needs and priorities. The Dell XPS 13 Plus often comes at a higher cost, which could be justified if you require a more compact design with higher-end specifications for tasks like video editing or software development. On the other hand, the LG Ultra 16 might offer a larger screen size, which can be beneficial for multitasking and easier on the eyes during long work sessions. However, it might have less powerful hardware compared to the Dell, making it more suitable for general use rather than intensive tasks. If battery life is a top priority, you'll want to consider which laptop offers more hours of usage per charge, keeping in mind that more powerful hardware can sometimes mean quicker battery drain. Remember that a more expensive laptop does not always mean better value for your specific needs, so weigh the importance of performance, screen size, portability, and battery life according to what's most critical for your daily use. The Dell XPS 13 Plus is very good for general use, while the LG Ultra 16 is good.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus excels in general use due to its high RAM, powerful CPU, and superior OLED screen with high resolution, but it has less portability and shorter battery life compared to the LG Ultra 16. On the other hand, the LG Ultra 16 offers longer battery life and a larger screen size which may be beneficial for extended use, though its screen quality and CPU performance are not as robust as the Dell's, and the keyboard quality is rated lower.

The Dell XPS 13 Plus has a better screen than the LG Ultra 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus offers a vibrant and high-resolution display that caters well to engineering and design professionals needing accurate colors and sharp details, but its lower refresh rate detracts from the gaming experience where smoother motion is key. The LG Ultra 16's display provides adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and design work, though it may not cover the wider color gamuts as comprehensively as the Dell. For gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to their poor refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid visuals in fast-paced environments.

How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the LG Ultra 16 compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"Unlike the gram, the Ultra PC isn't designed to be as lightweight as possible. The 16-inch laptop is a whole 400 g (0.88 lb) heavier than its 16-inch gram counterpart partly because its chassis is not made of magnesium. Other than that, the Ultra PC seems like a copy of the gram – but with longer battery life, lower noise levels, and a clean, delicate look."
