When choosing between the Dell Latitude 5430 and the HP Victus 15, consider that the Dell, while more expensive, is lighter and more compact, suited for high mobility and business tasks; it is built with a focus on portability and professional use with a moderate battery life. On the other hand, the HP Victus has a larger screen with a higher refresh rate and a dedicated graphics card, better for gaming or graphics-intensive tasks. It offers more storage out of the box but is heavier, which could impact portability. The HP is generally less expensive, making it more cost-effective for performance but less so for frequent travel. Give Feedback

The HP Victus 15 has a better screen than the Dell Latitude 5430 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Dell Latitude 5430's screen quality is adequate for tasks like web browsing and document editing due to its acceptable resolution and brightness, but it lacks the wider color gamut preferred for engineering and design tasks that require precision in color representation. The HP Victus 15 offers a better viewing experience for everyday use with superior brightness and clarity, although it doesn't fully cover the color gamuts critical for professional photo editing or graphic design. Both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D work, where high refresh rates are crucial for smooth motion, and their displays don't meet this particular need, making them less optimal for fast-paced or graphically intense applications.

How the Dell Latitude 5430 and the HP Victus 15 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
