The Dell G15 5520, with a heftier build and dedicated Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics, is suited for intensive gaming, 3D, and engineering but has lower battery life and portability. Conversely, the XPG Xenia 14 offers better battery life and is more portable due to its lighter weight, but with its integrated Iris Xe graphics, it is less suitable for demanding tasks and gaming. The Dell G15 5520 has a better screen than the XPG Xenia 14 for gaming and AI, software development, and content creation.
For general use, both the Dell G15 5520 and XPG Xenia 14 offer screens with sufficient resolution and brightness, making text clear and images vivid, which is essential for daily tasks like browsing, watching videos, and document editing. In engineering and design, these laptops provide wide color gamuts, ensuring accurate color representation crucial for tasks like photo editing, CAD, and other design work. How the Dell G15 5520 and the XPG Xenia 14 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"The Xenia 14 is a top 14-inch laptop under 1 kg. ADATA isn't exactly known for its laptops and so we weren't expecting much from its first 14-inch Ultrabook. With that said, we're pleasantly surprised by how well the Xenia 14 looks and performs. Not only is it incredibly light, but it has a color accurate 16:10 display, high CPU and GPU performance, easy RAM and SSD serviceability, plenty of port options including Thunderbolt 4, and long battery life. It packs a lot of punch and features considering the size and weight to be better than even the LG Gram series."
