If performance is crucial, especially for 3D rendering, machine learning, or intensive gaming, the MSI Stealth 17 with its more powerful processor and graphics would excel. However, despite its lesser performance, the Dell G15 5520 is more affordable, offers a solid experience for general usage, and has a longer battery life, making it better suited for everyday tasks and those on a tighter budget. The MSI is also more portable and has a superior display in terms of color accuracy and refresh rate, though it's heavier and has shorter battery life due to its larger screen and more potent hardware. The MSI Stealth 17 is very good for general use, while the Dell G15 5520 is good.
The MSI Stealth 17 surpasses the Dell G15 5520 in general use with a more powerful CPU and an abundance of RAM that accelerates multitasking and demanding applications, combined with a superior screen that offers higher resolution and color accuracy for crisp and vibrant visuals; however, it is less portable and has a shorter battery life than the Dell. While the Dell G15 provides a balanced mix of sufficient performance for everyday tasks, good portability, and longer battery life, making it a reliable choice for general use, it doesn't match the MSI's top-tier specs and display quality, which is somewhat offset by its higher weight and lower battery endurance.

The MSI Stealth 17 is excellent for gaming and AI, while the Dell G15 5520 is good.
The MSI Stealth 17 stands out for gaming and 3D with its Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU and a higher screen refresh rate of 240, providing smoother visuals and better graphics performance than the Dell G15 5520, which includes the Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU and a refresh rate of 165. Although both have capable CPUs and quality IPS displays, the higher-end GPU and screen specs of the MSI Stealth 17 make it more suitable for intensive tasks and provide an enhanced gaming experience.

The MSI Stealth 17 has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Dell G15 5520, with solid resolution and brightness, provides a suitable screen for tasks like web browsing or document editing, but its limited color range may not be ideal for engineering and design work where color accuracy is crucial. The MSI Stealth 17, on the other hand, delivers vivid colors and sharp detail that professionals in photography or CAD may require, yet both fall short for gamers and 3D designers due to their lower refresh rates, which can hinder the smooth visual experience expected in fast-paced games or 3D rendering. Therefore, while the MSI might be preferable for creativity and general tasks, neither is optimal for gaming or 3D work where higher refresh rates are key.

"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"The MSI Stealth 17 Studio is a laptop with a quiet RTX 4080 for almost every occasion. The MSI Stealth 17 Studio is equally capable of high-level media processing and playing current games. It remains pleasantly quiet, even if a few percentage points of power have had to be sacrificed in the process. But, it is not quite perfect: To some extent, the Stealth 17 is well thought out. It packs tons of graphics power and high-end components in a slim case. The laptop's cooling system can be set such that, noise-wise, it doesn't even reach low volume. However, small flaws cloud otherwise exceptionally positive impressions."
