The Dell G15 5520 offers stronger overall performance with its superior processor and graphics card, making it a better choice for gaming or intensive engineering tasks. However, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, which affects its portability. The MSI Prestige 14, on the other hand, is lighter and has a longer battery life, ideal for those prioritizing portability and general use. It still performs well for everyday tasks and some photo and video editing due to its high-resolution screen. If you need power and don't mind the weight, go for the Dell; if portability and battery matter most, consider the MSI. Give Feedback

How the Dell G15 5520 and the MSI Prestige 14 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"The MSI Prestige 14” is excellent for productivity and business use cases, but it is not ideal for creators or visual content editors. The Prestige was able to power through days of email, spreadsheets, and text documents without breaking a sweat and was a joy to use. The additional ports were a breath of fresh air, as most laptops seem to be moving towards just Thunderbolt ports. The security options made signing in effortless, with two quick, more secure, and faster options than even the most complex alphanumeric passcode."
