The Dell G15 5520, being a gaming-oriented laptop, offers robust performance suitable for demanding tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering software, but its bulkier design reduces portability and might have a shorter battery life. On the other hand, the MSI Prestige 14 AI Evo is designed for professionals looking for a lighter, more portable machine with longer battery life, ideal for general use and business applications, but it might not handle intensive tasks as well as the Dell. Consider what's more important to you—high performance for intensive tasks or portability and battery life for on-the-go usage. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 is good for gaming and AI, while the MSI Prestige 14 AI Evo is only fair.
The Dell G15 5520 includes a dedicated graphics card and a high screen refresh rate, making it better suited for gaming and 3D applications, which require fast image rendering and smooth motion. Meanwhile, the MSI Prestige 14 AI Evo, while having a quality CPU and screen, does not match the gaming performance due to its less powerful integrated graphics and lower screen refresh rate.

The MSI Prestige 14 AI Evo has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Dell G15 5520 and MSI Prestige 14 AI Evo both offer screens with resolutions and brightness levels suitable for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work, providing clear and vibrant visuals for documents and designs. However, they lack the wider color gamut coverage that professionals in engineering and design might need for precise color work. For gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to their lower refresh rates, which can result in less fluid motion and a less immersive experience for fast-paced visuals.

The Dell G15 5520 offers higher CPU and GPU capabilities, which are crucial for demanding engineering software and benefitting from a better screen for design work, while the MSI Prestige 14 AI Evo, with its respectable performance, leans towards better portability and keyboard quality with likely reduced operating noise, making it a convenient choice for on-the-go professionals who still require competent processing power. However, if maximum performance is a priority for complex tasks and detail-oriented work, the Dell's configuration might edge out on top, despite being bulkier and possibly louder during intensive operations.

How the Dell G15 5520 and the MSI Prestige 14 AI Evo compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
