If you're looking for a balance between cost and performance, the Dell G15 5520 is a suitable choice, less expensive, making it accessible for general use and gaming. However, if your focus is on top performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering tasks and budget is less of a concern, the MSI GE66 Raider, while more expensive, offers higher specifications such as a better processor and superior graphics capabilities. The Raider also has a higher resolution screen which is beneficial for detailed work but may come at the cost of reduced battery life compared to the G15. In terms of portability, both are similar in size and weight, with the Dell being slightly heavier. Overall, the choice depends on whether the premium performance and display of the MSI justify the higher cost for your specific needs. Give Feedback

The MSI GE66 Raider has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Dell G15 5520 offers adequate resolution and brightness, suitable for everyday tasks, and its panel type provides clear images, but its lower refresh rate can detract from the smooth graphics needed in gaming and 3D applications. The MSI GE66 Raider, with its higher brightness and superior panel, enhances both general and engineering use by displaying a wider range of colors more accurately, which is crucial for detailed design work. However, despite its advanced color capabilities, the Raider's lower refresh rate could result in less fluid motion in fast-paced gaming scenarios and 3D rendering.

How the Dell G15 5520 and the MSI GE66 Raider compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"The MSI Raider GE66 12UHS notebook passes with flying colors. The GE66 is a high-end notebook with strong performance. The keyboard and trackpad are still very good and score well with precise inputs as well as high build quality. Thanks to a new liquid metal cooling solution, the Intel Core i9 12900HK brings a performance increase of around 50 percent over the predecessor's Intel Core i9 10980HK. The installed graphics card in our device delivers up to 30 percent higher frame rates than the RTX 2070 Super in the MSI GE66 10SFS."
