The Dell G15 5520 is somewhat less expensive and is well-suited for gaming. It has a larger 15.6-inch display but it offers lower resolution and is heavier, which impacts its portability. The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i, although more expensive, has a better display with higher resolution and brightness, being a Mini LED panel on a 14.5-inch touchscreen. It's lighter and has a longer battery life, which enhances portability. The Lenovo also has a newer GPU and more RAM, contributing to higher performance in engineering and 3D tasks. Choose the Dell for cost efficiency and gaming, or the Lenovo for superior display, portability, and high-end performance. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
If you prioritize a vibrant display and crisp image for everyday tasks and professional design work, the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i's high-resolution screen and wide color gamut support make it superior for general use and engineering. However, for gaming and 3D applications where fluid motion is crucial, the Dell G15 5520 falls short due to its lower refresh rate despite satisfactory resolution and panel type. The Lenovo faces the same challenge for gaming; its exceptional color accuracy and sharpness are less relevant when refresh rate is the bottleneck for a smooth visual experience.

How the Dell G15 5520 and the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i is an impressive laptop with a brilliant Mini-LED display, a powerful 100-watt version of Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics, and excellent connectivity. Having run the Cinebench benchmark again, we were impressed with the CPU performance. That makes the Slim Pro 9i is an easy recommendation, especially for those who care about GPU and CPU performance. It’s also a fantastic choice if you frequently view HDR movies and games on your laptop."
