The Dell G15 5520 offers high performance in 3D, machine learning, and engineering tasks and is suitable for intensive gaming with its powerful processor and graphics card. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, which affects portability. On the other hand, the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 has a better screen with higher resolution and touchscreen capabilities, is lighter, and has a longer battery life, making it more portable and suitable for on-the-go use, but with less power for demanding software or games compared to the Dell. The Lenovo also has a more modern appearance, and for general use, it provides high quality across the board. If portability and screen quality are your main concerns, go with the Lenovo, but if you need more power for demanding tasks and gaming, the Dell would be the better choice. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 outperforms the Dell G15 5520 in terms of general use primarily due to its superior screen quality, with higher resolution and brightness, coupled with excellent portability thanks to its lighter weight and significantly longer battery life. While both laptops share similar CPU and RAM characteristics, which are very important for performance, the Lenovo's advantages in the screen and portability departments, as well as a slightly better battery life, make it more suitable for general use situations where mobility and long periods of use away from power sources are crucial.

How the Dell G15 5520 and the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 is an attractive, portable laptop that’s ideal if you need a combination of CPU and GPU performance. It also nails the fundamentals with solid connectivity, an enjoyable keyboard, a large touchpad, and top-notch webcam. Display quality is a weakness, but it’s an acceptable compromise for the laptop’s extremely competitive $1,199 MSRP. The Slim Pro 7 is a versatile, affordable laptop and hard to beat for the price."
