The Dell G15 5520 is more affordable and offers solid performance for general use and gaming, thanks to a reliable processor and capable graphics card. Its display is decent for gaming and everyday tasks. However, the Gigabyte Aorus 7, while similarly priced, features a larger screen and higher refresh rate, making it more suitable for intensive gaming and fast-paced visuals. With a beefier battery and advanced graphics card, it caters well to demanding graphical tasks but is slightly heavier, affecting portability. For general engineering usage both are comparable, but consider the Aorus 7 for its gaming edge and the Dell G15 for balanced performance and cost. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 7 for content creation, while the Gigabyte Aorus 7 has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, a laptop like the Dell G15 5520 with its adequate resolution and brightness level offers a comfortable viewing experience for everyday tasks; however, its lower refresh rate might be less suitable for gaming or 3D applications that benefit from smoother visuals. The Gigabyte Aorus 7's screen fares better in general use due to superior brightness and crisp visuals, aiding in tasks like web browsing and document editing. Both screens have limitations for engineering and design professionals who need wide color gamuts for accurate color work, and neither excels in 3D tasks where a high refresh rate is crucial for fluid motion and rendering.

The Dell G15 5520 and Gigabyte Aorus 7 are both very good for engineering and design.
The Dell G15 5520 is praised for engineering and design work due to its powerful combination of an Intel i7 processor, a robust Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, and a high-resolution IPS display, which provide excellent multitasking power and visual accuracy. Comparatively, the Gigabyte Aorus 7 boasts a larger screen and an even more potent Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, but with a slightly less powerful Intel i5 processor, making it equally adept for detailed design tasks, with the tradeoff being slightly less CPU processing prowess. How the Dell G15 5520 and the Gigabyte Aorus 7 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
