The Dell G15 5520 tends to be less expensive and has a higher refresh rate ideal for gaming, though it has a conventional IPS display and lower battery capacity. If high-fidelity visuals are crucial, particularly for creative work or video editing, the Gigabyte Aero 5 might serve you better with its superior OLED screen, higher resolution, and greater color accuracy. Despite the Aero 5's higher price, it also offers a stronger GPU, potentially better for demanding 3D tasks and machine learning applications. However, its weight is similar to the Dell, with a tradeoff being a lower refresh rate which is not optimal for fast-paced gaming. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 appeals to general users and engineers with its adequate resolution and brightness, but it may fall short for gamers due to its lower refresh rate. The Gigabyte Aero 5 excels in delivering vibrant, true-to-life colors for professionals thanks to its wide color gamuts, making it ideal for design and engineering tasks. However, both laptops aren't optimal for gaming and 3D work because their screens aren't built with high refresh rates, leading to less fluid visuals in fast-paced scenarios.

How the Dell G15 5520 and the Gigabyte Aero 5 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"It is unfortunate that the Gigabyte AERO notebook series have seem to lost its charm, as it’s not exactly any much different from the AORUS series now. Regardless, content creators and designers will certainly still appreciate the features on the AERO 5 XE4, which are fundamental to their work. This largely revolved around the notebook’s display, which is colour calibrated and validated, high resolution (4K) and with great AMOLED colour representation. Now that the AERO 5 XE4 has improved its performance with the latest CPU and GPU, the professionals can also appreciate the improved productivity from the notebook."
