When choosing between the Dell G15 5520 and the Gigabyte A7, consider the Gigabyte A7 if you prefer a larger screen since it has a 17.3-inch display compared to the 15.6-inch screen on the Dell. However, the Dell offers more storage with its larger built-in drive. Performance-wise, they are equipped with the same graphics card, so gaming or graphic-intensive tasks will be similar, but they have different processors, which may influence multitasking and day-to-day performance. The Dell is slightly heavier, so the Gigabyte might be more convenient if you plan to carry your laptop frequently. Each boasts a robust build, so your preference for screen size and storage should guide your decision. Give Feedback

How the Dell G15 5520 and the Gigabyte A7 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
"In terms of looks, the Gigabyte A7 X1 is certainly not a trendy, slim, and ultra-mobile gaming laptop. But it does what it's supposed to do, namely bringing games smoothly onto the screen, very well. Both the processor and the GeForce RTX 3070 are able to unleash their performance without restrictions thanks to the well-ventilated case. The Gigabyte A7 X1 brings modern games smoothly onto the screen and offers excellent maintenance options."
