The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X is priced higher and provides a premium build with an OLED screen that is ideal for color-sensitive work, making it well-suited for professional creators. Its larger battery offers longer use but it's less portable due to its weight. On the other hand, the Dell G15 5520 is more budget-friendly and offers a high-refresh-rate IPS screen, beneficial for gaming. It has a gaming laptop appearance, but with a smaller battery, its unplugged usage will be shorter. Both have powerful processors and GPUs, serving well for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering software. The Zenbook's touch screen and portability make it versatile for on-the-go use, whereas the Dell's higher refresh rate and lower price point cater to gamers and cost-conscious users. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X excels for general use and engineering due to its superior resolution, brightness, and wider color gamuts, offering clearer and more vibrant visual details. However, its lower refresh rate hampers the gaming experience, which benefits significantly from smoother motion clarity. The Dell G15 5520 also provides a good display for general tasks and design work, though it may not match the ASUS in color accuracy, but like the Zenbook, it suffers in gaming scenarios due to a less optimal refresh rate.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X to be very good for general use, while the Dell G15 5520 is good.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X offers a superior screen with higher resolution and OLED technology, which, along with its larger battery, results in better overall general use, especially for tasks that benefit from vivid display and longer unplugged use. However, despite the Dell G15 5520 having comparable CPU and RAM, its lower-quality screen, smaller battery, and bulkier build make it less suitable for those who prioritize portability and battery life, though it still provides a good level of performance for daily activities.

The Dell G15 5520 and ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X are both good for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X is geared towards gaming and 3D with its OLED display which offers superior color and contrast, but has a lower screen refresh rate which may not be as smooth for fast-paced action. In comparison, the Dell G15 5520's higher screen refresh rate makes it excellent for gaming responsiveness, though its IPS screen, while still good, does not match the Zenbook's color quality or contrast. Both laptops have the same powerful GPU and CPU, ensuring top-tier performance for gaming and 3D applications.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X excels in engineering and design use with its vibrant and color-accurate OLED screen, which is far superior in terms of resolution and screen quality compared to the Dell G15 5520's standard IPS display, although the Dell offers a higher refresh rate which might be preferred for some fast-paced applications. Both laptops share powerful CPUs and GPUs, ample RAM, and sizable storage, ensuring solid performance for demanding engineering tasks, but the ASUS provides better screen real estate and sharper visuals which are crucial for design work, at the expense of being less portable and having noisier operating conditions than the slightly sturdier Dell.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"The new Zenbook Pro 16X is more powerful, quieter and doesn't need to shy away from dedicated workstations and gamers. It is also comparatively compact, and our test device is the best Zenbook that we've reviewed so far. It seems equally suitable for content creators and gamers or anyone looking for a very powerful laptop that is still slim."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
