If you prioritize a brighter, more vivid screen with touch capability and longer battery life, and you don’t mind paying a bit more, then the ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 with its OLED display is a solid choice. On the other hand, for better gaming, engineering applications, and lower cost, the Dell G15 5520 stands out, although it sacrifices some screen quality and battery life for a higher refresh rate which is better for fast-paced games. The Dell is also heavier, making it less portable than the ASUS. Both have similar RAM and storage, but the Dell offers a more powerful graphics card and processor for intensive tasks. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 is good.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 with its OLED screen and AMD Ryzen 7 CPU provides a highly vibrant display and competent performance for most engineering and design tasks, while being quite portable. However, the Dell G15 5520 offers superior computing power with its Intel i7 CPU and Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, better suited for very demanding engineering software, but it is heavier and has a shorter battery life.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, and engineering and design, while the Dell G15 5520 has a better screen for gaming and AI, and software development.
If you prioritize a vibrant and sharp display for a variety of tasks and content creation, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 15's higher resolution and brighter panel, coupled with wide color gamuts, make it excellent for both general use and engineering work. However, for gaming and 3D applications that benefit from smoother motion and responsiveness, the ASUS falls short due to a lower refresh rate. The Dell G15 5520, while also good for general computing and professional tasks with decent color coverage and adequate resolution, doesn't offer the enhanced visual experience of the ASUS but shares a similar shortfall for gaming and 3D due to its refresh rate.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"The ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 offers a strong CPU, chassis, and display. One of the most popular 15.6-inch prosumer or multimedia laptops out there is the Dell XPS 15. Thus, comparisons between it and the Asus Zenbook Pro 15 are inevitable. Asus has a couple of tricks up its sleeve that XPS users are still missing out on including 1080p OLED and an AMD Ryzen CPU which help separate the Zenbook Pro 15 from the XPS 15. It also integrates a numpad and a few more port options albeit at the cost of a larger chassis size."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
