The ASUS Zenbook 14X offers better performance, has a superior OLED screen, and is more compact, making it suitable for tasks that benefit from high resolution and color accuracy, like photo editing or multimedia work. Its graphics capability is somewhat better, potentially making it a better fit for light gaming or graphics-intensive tasks compared to the Lenovo V15, which comes with integrated graphics. The Zenbook is also more lightweight, enhancing its portability. On the other hand, the Lenovo V15, while less expensive, provides a larger storage capacity and a bigger screen, which might make it an attractive option for general use where portability and screen quality are less critical. However, the V15's screen uses TN technology, which usually has narrower viewing angles and less vivid color performance than the Zenbook's OLED screen. If budget is a primary concern and the tasks at hand do not require high-end specifications, the V15 is a viable choice, but for higher performance and a premium display, the Zenbook 14X, despite its higher price, would be the recommended option. The ASUS Zenbook 14X is good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo V15 is only fair.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X is better equipped for engineering and design tasks due to its higher-quality CPU, GPU, and screen, while the Lenovo V15, with lower specs in these areas, performs at a fair level for such tasks. Additionally, the Zenbook has superior RAM, enhancing its capability for intensive tasks, and although both have compromises, such as less portability and operating noise, the Zenbook's advanced features outweigh those of the V15 in this context.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the Lenovo V15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X offers a sharp, bright display with high resolution, making it excellent for general use and detail-oriented tasks like engineering, while its comprehensive color coverage benefits design work. Conversely, the Lenovo V15’s lower resolution and brightness result in a less vivid and detailed experience for all use cases. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the Zenbook 14X's lower refresh rate may not provide the smoothness desired, despite its better resolution and panel quality.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the Lenovo V15 compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"The strengths of the Lenovo V15 G2 AMD lie in its expandability of the RAM and allowing you to use two SSDs, in its performance that goes beyond everyday applications thanks to AMD's hexa-core CPU and Vega-7 iGPU, in its good keyboard, and its relatively robust case. In addition, the battery life of the office laptop is also acceptable, and the device stays cool and relatively quiet."
