For better performance in intensive tasks like 3D modeling or engineering, the ASUS Zenbook 14X stands out with its discrete Nvidia GPU. However, if portability is a key factor, know that it has a shorter battery life compared to the Lenovo Flex 5. The Lenovo Flex is a 2-in-1 with a touchscreen, making it versatile for various uses and offers longer battery life, good for on-the-go activities. The ASUS also features an OLED display for vibrant colors and contrast, desirable for creative work, while the Lenovo's IPS panel delivers wider viewing angles. Consider the ASUS for performance-focused tasks and the Lenovo for longer battery life and touchscreen versatility. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 14X and Lenovo Flex 5 14 are both good for engineering and design, though the ASUS Zenbook 14X is somewhat better.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X boasts a higher-quality OLED screen for vivid colors in designs, paired with a dedicated Nvidia MX550 GPU for rendering tasks, essential for engineering and design software, while the Lenovo Flex 5 14 with the Ryzen 7 7730U integrated graphics provides less graphics power but compensates with greater screen portability as a 2-in-1 convertible . Considering portability and flexibility for presentation purposes, the Lenovo is a solid choice, but if the priority is onscreen detail and graphic-intensive tasks, the ASUS may serve better despite being less flexible for on-the-go use.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the Lenovo Flex 5 14 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X offers a high-resolution display with vibrant colors and brightness suitable for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work, thanks to its adherence to wider color gamuts. However, its refresh rate is lower, which hampers the smooth visuals critical for high-end gaming and 3D applications. Conversely, the Lenovo Flex 5 14 provides adequate resolution and color representation for both daily tasks and professional design, but similar to the ASUS, it falls short for gaming due to its less optimal refresh rate.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the Lenovo Flex 5 14 compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"The highlight of the latest IdeaPad Flex 5 14 is clearly its AMD CPU. The octa-core Ryzen 7 5700U is insanely fast even when compared to the best Tiger Lake Ultrabooks in the market or even Core H CPUs in many gaming laptops. It's a lot of raw processing power for what is supposed to be a budget 14-inch convertible. If your daily workloads can benefit from extra multi-thread CPU performance, then look no further than the inexpensive AMD-powered Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14. For regular on-the-road browsing or video streaming, however, a slimmer and lighter 10th gen Core Yoga, Spectre, or XPS would be a more balanced option."
