The ASUS Zenbook 14X is a more budget-friendly option with an excellent OLED screen suitable for general use and engineering, offering higher portability due to its lighter weight and sleek design, but has modest performance for intensive tasks. The Gigabyte Aorus 5, while more expensive, is ideal for gaming, 3D, and machine learning tasks with its powerful GPU and processor. It has a premium build quality but sacrifices some portability due to its heavier weight. Battery life is similar, so the choice largely depends on your need for high performance or portability and a better screen for everyday tasks. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 5 for general use, and engineering and design, while the Gigabyte Aorus 5 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X features a high-resolution display that ensures crisp and clear images, which, along with its superior brightness, makes it excellent for everyday tasks and professional design work that requires accurate color representation. However, it falls short for gaming and 3D applications due to a lower refresh rate, which can lead to less smooth visuals during fast-paced action. The Gigabyte Aorus 5, while offering a good level of brightness and resolution for daily use and precision tasks for engineers and designers, similarly lacks a high refresh rate, affecting performance in gaming and 3D scenarios where fluid motion is key.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the Gigabyte Aorus 5 compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 5 SE4 is a capable mainstream gaming notebook that will run the latest PC games with aplomb. However, it's not your stereotypical flashy gaming PC. Gigabyte has added some interesting tweaks. For example, the webcam placement and its Microsoft Azure AI tool — to automatically switch between power modes — are unusual for this genre. But more importantly, the pricing is fairly competitive and reasonable."
