Choosing between the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the Gateway 11.6" depends heavily on your needs and budget. The ASUS Zenbook boasts superior performance with higher-end components, including a faster processor, significantly more storage and RAM, making it ideal for intense tasks such as engineering, creative work, or light gaming. The Gateway, on the other hand, offers basic functionality due to its lower-tier processor and minimal RAM, which is suitable for simple tasks like web browsing and word processing. The Zenbook's larger, high-resolution OLED screen provides a crisp and vibrant display, whereas the Gateway's smaller IPS screen has a lower resolution, which might suffice for daily non-intensive use. The Zenbook also offers a longer battery life and a backlit keyboard, whereas the Gateway is more lightweight and transportable. Ultimately, if you require high performance for demanding applications and can justify the expense, the Zenbook is the prudent choice. Conversely, if you're seeking a budget-friendly option for uncomplicated tasks and value portability, the Gateway would suffice. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 14X is good for general use, while the Gateway 11.6" is poor.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X boasts a powerful Intel i7 processor, ample 16GB of RAM, and a high-quality OLED display, making it well-suited for a variety of general use scenarios, whereas the Gateway 11.6" has a modest Intel Celeron processor, limited 4GB of RAM, and a lower resolution IPS display, which might struggle with multitasking and display crispness. Moreover, the ASUS Zenbook 14X's larger screen, higher battery life and premium build contribute to its better general use-case performance, while the Gateway excels in portability due to its smaller size and weight, yet falls short on battery life and keyboard quality, which are crucial for lengthy work sessions.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X is only fair for gaming and AI, while the Gateway 11.6" is poor.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X offers fair performance for gaming and 3D applications primarily because it has a more capable Nvidia MX550 graphics card and a higher screen refresh rate of 90 Hz, which can render smoother visuals compared to the Gateway 11.6". The Gateway, on the other hand, struggles with these tasks due to its less powerful Intel UHD Graphics 600 hardware and a lower 60 Hz refresh rate, limiting its ability to deliver a fluid gaming experience.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X is good for engineering and design, while the Gateway 11.6" is poor.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X is better for engineering and design due to its powerful Intel i7 processor, substantial 16GB RAM, dedicated Nvidia MX550 GPU, and high-quality OLED screen, which are crucial for demanding tasks and detailed work. Meanwhile, the Gateway 11.6" has a basic Intel Celeron processor, only 4GB RAM, integrated graphics, and an IPS display with lower resolution, making it less suitable for performance-intensive engineering applications and less precise in display quality.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the Gateway 11.6" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X offers a superior display with high resolution and brightness, providing vivid and clear visuals for everyday tasks and detailed work in engineering, but its lower refresh rate may not deliver the smooth visuals desired for fast-paced gaming and 3D applications. The Gateway 11.6", with lower resolution and brightness, diminishes the user experience across general use, making text and images less sharp, and is not suitable for engineering and design due to limited color accuracy. Furthermore, its lack of a high refresh rate and moderate resolution and panel quality also make it unsuitable for gaming and 3D work where smooth motion and visual detail are crucial.

"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
