For intensive tasks like engineering applications, 3D rendering, or gaming, the ASUS Zenbook 14X offers better performance with a more powerful processor and dedicated graphics, but it costs more and is less portable due to its higher price and weight. The Dell Inspiron 15 3520, on the other hand, is more budget-friendly and lightweight, suited for general use and less demanding tasks, but its lower storage and performance might limit its effectiveness for complex software and multitasking. If battery life is crucial, the Zenbook's longer battery runtime should also be considered. Choose the Zenbook for performance-heavy activities or if you need a superior display, and the Inspiron for everyday tasks or if budget and portability are top priorities. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 14X is good for general use, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is only fair.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X offers a superior experience for general use due to its higher-quality OLED screen, more powerful Intel i7 processor, and a greater amount of RAM which enhances multitasking capabilities, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3520's lower screen resolution, slower Intel i3 processor, and less RAM may be suitable for basic tasks but fall short for more demanding activities. Additionally, the Zenbook's better portability score and longer battery life make it more suitable for those who are on the move, whereas the Inspiron, despite having longer battery life, is heavier and bulkier which could be a downside for mobile users.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the ASUS Zenbook 14X stands out with a higher resolution and brighter display, offering crisp text and vibrant images, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3520's display is adequate but less vivid and sharp. In engineering and design, the Zenbook's wider color gamuts ensure accurate color representation which is crucial for detailed work, as opposed to the Inspiron's decent but less precise color ranges. However, for gaming and 3D applications where smooth motion is key, the Zenbook's lower refresh rate results in less fluid visuals compared to displays optimized for these tasks, with both laptops not being ideal for this use case.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14X and the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 compare to other laptops
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
"Dell's Inspiron 15 (3525) is a peppy-enough and affordable-enough home or remote work machine, but it's not very ambitious; it does little to go beyond the basics. More the concern: It’s readily overshadowed by a number of machines that outperform and outclass it. Even if the Inspiron can get the job done today, its competition has the mettle to keep doing the job tomorrow in a way the Inspiron simply can’t promise. Plus, those alternatives are much more enjoyable after work."
