When making your decision between the ASUS Zenbook 13 and the HP Victus 15, consider the tradeoffs between portability, performance, and cost. If you need a laptop that is more portable and suitable for everyday tasks with a better display quality, the ASUS might be your preference despite its higher price. It's lighter, has a higher-quality OLED screen, and is generally more battery-efficient. On the other hand, if gaming or performance-intensive tasks are important to you and you're looking to spend less, the HP Victus with its dedicated RTX 3050 graphics card offers stronger performance suited for these needs, but it's heavier and has shorter battery life. It's also worth noting that the ASUS comes with Windows 10 Home while the HP has Windows 11 Home, which may influence your choice depending on your preference for operating systems. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook 13 has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS Zenbook 13's superior screen quality for general use and engineering stems from its high resolution and brightness, as well as a panel with wide color coverage, which is essential for detailed and color-critical work. However, for gaming and 3D tasks, its lower refresh rate makes it less appropriate, as this impacts motion fluidity and overall responsiveness. Conversely, the HP Victus 15, while still adequate for general use because of suitable brightness and resolution, fails to offer the same level of color accuracy for engineering and design tasks and similarly stumbles in games and 3D applications due to an insufficient refresh rate.

The HP Victus 15 and ASUS Zenbook 13 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Zenbook 13 sports an integrated GPU better suited for light gaming and limited 3D performance, which is reflected in its standard screen refresh rate, while the HP Victus 15 comes equipped with a dedicated Nvidia graphics card and a higher refresh rate screen providing a more responsive and enjoyable gaming or 3D experience, albeit likely at a higher price point.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers ASUS Zenbook 13 to be good for engineering and design, while the HP Victus 15 is only fair.
The ASUS Zenbook 13 has an AMD CPU with integrated graphics, which may not handle engineering software as effectively as the HP Victus 15, which has a more powerful Intel CPU and discrete Nvidia graphics, boosting its performance for such tasks. While the Zenbook's OLED screen offers vibrant colors and contrast, the Victus has a larger IPS display with a higher refresh rate, better suited for design work; however, the Zenbook is more portable, causing a tradeoff between display quality and portability.

How the ASUS Zenbook 13 and the HP Victus 15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ZenBook 13 is a compact 13-inch laptop with a fast Ryzen 7 5800U and OLED display. The subnotebook is also light and the modern design is convincing. The selection of high-quality materials make the device not only light, but also very stable. In addition, the visuals and haptics of the device offers a high-quality impression. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800U is a very good fit for the ZenBook 13, ensuring a high performance in the test. However, in terms of the 3D performance, we also notice that the Vega architecture is beginning to hit its limits."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
