The ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 is less expensive than the Dell G15 5520, and more suitable for general use due to its OLED display and lighter weight, making it highly portable. It excels in screen color quality but has lower storage capacity, less RAM, and a less powerful processor. The Vivobook is not designed for intensive gaming or demanding tasks like 3D rendering or engineering work.
On the other hand, the Dell G15 5520 has better performance for 3D work, machine learning, and engineering tasks due to its more powerful i7 processor, RTX 3060 graphics, and larger RAM and storage. It is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable than the ASUS, and it's more suitable for gaming with hardware that supports ray tracing and DLSS. If you focus on performance and gaming, and you don't mind the extra weight and cost, consider the Dell G15 5520. If you prioritize portability, screen quality for general use, and a lower cost, the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 might be a better fit. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 is good.
The Dell G15 5520 is rated very good for engineering and design use primarily due to its more powerful Intel i7 processor, higher RAM capacity, and superior Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, which provide better performance for resource-intensive tasks, while the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 is considered good and more portable, with its high-quality OLED screen offering better color accuracy and contrast, but it has a less powerful processor and GPU, and lower RAM, making it less optimal for very demanding engineering work. The Dell's IPS screen, larger size, and heavier weight make it less portable but more suitable for intensive tasks, whereas the ASUS's OLED screen, lighter weight, and smaller size offer better portability and display quality at the expense of raw performance.

The ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 has a better screen than the Dell G15 5520 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Dell G15 5520 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 boasts a high-resolution display that excels in clarity and color accuracy, making it ideal for engineering and design work that demands precise color representation, while its superior brightness and panel quality enhance the experience for general use. However, this laptop's lower refresh rate hampers its performance for gaming and 3D applications which require smooth motion for an optimal experience. In contrast, the Dell G15 5520, while still offering good color accuracy and a decent display for general purposes and engineering tasks, falls short in both color range and refresh rate for the more demanding gaming and 3D work.

How the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 and the Dell G15 5520 compare to other laptops
"The Asus Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is a Pantone Validated laptop that packs a lot of processing power. The Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED's highlight is its outstanding display: Featuring a 3K resolution in the 16:10 format and nearly a 100% coverage of the Display P3 color space, the display hardly leaves anything to be desired. The Asus laptop also shows impeccable rates in terms of general system performance. Combined with long battery life, low noise emissions, and relatively good speakers, the laptop can be recommended to users who can accept compromises in terms of connectivity."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
