For everyday use and easy portability, the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 is a budget-friendly option with decent performance, a lightweight build, and moderate battery life. Conversely, the Dell G15 5520 costs more but offers superior performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering work, with a more powerful processor, higher capacity storage, and better screen refresh rate, which makes it also suitable for intensive gaming. However, this comes at the expense of increased weight and somewhat reduced battery life, making it less portable than the ASUS model. Give Feedback

The Dell G15 5520 is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 is only fair.
The Asus Vivobook Go 14 offers decent performance for general use with its AMD Ryzen 3 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and quality IPS screen, but its portability and battery life are more favorable than the Dell G15 5520, which is heavier and has a shorter battery life. The Dell G15 5520, on the other hand, has a more powerful Intel i7 processor, double the RAM, and a high-quality screen with better color accuracy and contrast ratio, making it more suitable for demanding tasks despite being less portable and having less battery endurance.

The Dell G15 5520 is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 14, with its basic AMD Radeon 610M graphics and standard 60Hz screen refresh rate, is inadequate for gaming and 3D applications; conversely, the Dell G15 5520 excels in these areas thanks to its high-performance Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU and a much smoother 165Hz refresh rate.

The Dell G15 5520 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 provides sufficient screen clarity and brightness for everyday tasks such as browsing and document editing, but the Dell G15 5520 offers a more vibrant and sharper display, enhancing the experience. When it comes to engineering and design, while both laptops offer adequate screen resolution, the Dell's superior color range, covering broader spectrums like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, makes it a better fit for color-critical work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, neither laptop is ideal due to their lack of high refresh rates, which are crucial for fluid motion and responsiveness in fast-paced visual content.

"The lack of a backlit keyboard in this price segment shouldn't sway the buyer the other way. However, it still comes down to user preference. The Vivobook Go 14 is a decent laptop in an extremely competitive price segment. A few omissions are a part of the balancing to reach the price segment. The Asus Vivobook Go 14 is a rare find when it comes to the price to performance ratio."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Dell G15 (2022) is a 15.6-inch budget gaming laptop, and is great for gaming. You can configure the laptop with powerful Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and various NVIDIA dedicated GPUs, all of which deliver a smooth gaming experience at 1080p. There's also a QHD 240Hz display option if you want better visuals, though you'll have to pair it with the top-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to get good frame rates. It doesn't get overly hot or loud under load, and there's no noticeable throttling on the CPU or GPU. Unfortunately, the 120Hz panel has a slow response time, causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate."
