The ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is more wallet-friendly and offers basic functionality that may be suitable for general computing tasks like web browsing and document editing. However, it has lower storage capacity, a smaller screen size with a lower resolution, and less powerful processing capabilities compared to the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15", which impacts its suitability for more demanding software and multitasking. The Lenovo boasts a larger, higher-quality display and significantly better performance, making it ideal for intensive tasks such as gaming, engineering software, and content creation but at the expense of higher cost and portability due to its larger size and weight. Choose the ASUS for a budget-friendly, highly portable laptop for everyday tasks or the Lenovo for robust performance and a better multimedia experience if the price and reduced portability aren't deal-breakers. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 12's screen may disappoint across the board due to its low resolution and dim display, making it less than ideal for crisp text and images in general use, precise color details in engineering and design, and the visual clarity needed for gaming and 3D. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" offers a step up with a fair screen quality for general tasks, courtesy of its better resolution and brightness, yet it still falls short for engineering and design due to limited color coverage. Lastly, neither is optimal for gaming and 3D work since they lack the high refresh rates that are crucial for smooth motion and fast-paced visuals.

"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
