If you prioritize storage space and a higher resolution screen, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus offers double the storage and a more detailed display compared to the ASUS Vivobook 16X. The Dell also boasts slightly better battery life and is lighter, making it more portable. However, the ASUS packs a more powerful main processor and dedicated graphics card, delivering superior performance for 3D and machine learning tasks, and engineering applications, although it comes with a higher price and reduced portability due to its larger size and weight. Both laptops are equipped with similar RAM and are suitable for general use and gaming, but if your work demands more intensive graphics processing or you're involved in engineering, the ASUS might be the better choice, while for everyday tasks and greater mobility, the Dell is advisable. Tech Critter

Kok Kee | February 2023
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | August 2022
"The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is for power users on a budget. If you're looking to maximize CPU and GPU performance on your next 14-inch laptop, then consider the pricier Razer Blade 14 or Asus Zephyrus G14. If you're looking for a thin-and-light 14-inch Ultrabook, then the Asus Zenbook 14 or LG Gram 14 may be better options. For the best of both worlds, however, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 rides a fine line between extreme performance and portability while keeping prices at reasonable levels. Frequent travelers who rely on performance beyond what the Core U-series and integrated graphics series can offer will find the Dell to be a solid solution."
