If you value a larger screen and touch capabilities, plus more storage and RAM for better multitasking, consider the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15". It also boasts longer battery life, making it suitable for extended use away from power outlets. The IdeaPad includes a number pad and a backlit keyboard, enhancing productivity in various lighting conditions. However, it's heavier and less portable than the ASUS Vivobook 14. The Vivobook, while less expensive, offers portability and sufficient power for everyday tasks with its smaller form factor, which might be a priority if you're on the go. Neither laptop is ideal for intensive gaming, but both can handle general use and lighter engineering tasks. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 14 for content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 14 and Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" offer screens that meet essential needs for general use through adequate resolution and brightness, but they may not stand out in terms of crisp detail or vibrant colors. For engineering and design tasks, where color precision is key for accurate work, both laptops provide only a fair experience due to limited coverage of professional color gamuts. When it comes to 3D and gaming, the lower refresh rates of these laptops mean they lack the smooth visuals and responsiveness desired by enthusiasts in these activities, although their panel type and resolution offer just a modest viewing experience.

How the ASUS Vivobook 14 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
