Choosing between the ASUS Vivobook 14 and the Gateway 14.1" depends on what's important to you. The Vivobook is pricier but offers better general, 3D/machine learning, and engineering performance due to its stronger processor and more memory, making it suitable for more intensive computing tasks. It also has a backlit keyboard and a higher-quality screen for colors and general use. Conversely, if you prioritize saving money and mainly need a laptop for basic tasks, the Gateway is substantially less expensive, lighter on resources, but still has a comparable screen size and resolution for everyday activities. Both offer portability with similar weight and dimensions, but neither is ideal for intensive gaming. Give Feedback

"The Gateway Ultra Slim 14" is surprisingly quiet with long battery life. The inexpensive Gateway excels at maximizing performance per dollar with lots of RAM and storage, super-quiet fan, and a long battery life. It can even house up to two M.2 SSDs which we weren't expecting from such a cheap system. However, the iffy reliability of the keyboard and USB-C port on our test unit means users should double-check for these potential issues immediately after purchasing."
