When choosing between the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x, consider that the ASUS is built for gaming and performance-heavy tasks, offering robust graphics and processing power, which is ideal for gaming, video editing, or 3D modeling, but it is bulkier and may have a shorter battery life. The Lenovo, on the other hand, is more compact and lightweight, making it better for travel and general business use, with typically longer battery life, but it may not handle intensive tasks as well as the ASUS. If budget is a concern and you need more performance, the ASUS might be the better pick, but if you prioritize portability and battery life for everyday productivity, the Lenovo is the preferable option. The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x and ASUS TUF Gaming F17 are both good for general use, though the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x is somewhat better.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17, with its gaming-oriented CPU and extra RAM, excels in performance for intensive tasks but may sacrifice portability and battery life, making it less ideal for on-the-go use compared to the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x, which offers a balance with good screen quality, lighter design, and longer battery life, catering well to general use and mobility needs. While the ASUS has an edge for high-demand applications and multitasking, the ThinkBook's more compact form, superior keyboard, and quieter operation make it a more comfortable option for everyday tasks and travel.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17, while offering a large display beneficial for immersive experiences and multitasking, may fall short in screen quality for gaming and 3D purposes due to a lower refresh rate, which is vital for smooth motion rendering in fast-paced scenes. The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x, with its higher resolution and brightness, provides sharp and vibrant visuals for general use and detail-oriented tasks in engineering and design, greatly benefiting from a wide color range that enhances accuracy and detail. However, both laptops may not be optimal for gaming or 3D applications because a high refresh rate, which is crucial for those experiences, is not a strength of either device.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
