The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is generally less expensive and offers a large screen size, a full keyboard with a number pad, and durable gaming design, which is excellent for gaming and general use. However, its performance in intensive tasks and portability are moderate, with shorter battery life. The Razer Blade 15 costs more but provides superior performance for 3D, machine learning, and engineering tasks, a higher resolution display, and a more portable design with longer battery life. Its build quality and heat management are also better, but it has a smaller screen and does not come with a number pad. Choose ASUS for a cost-effective, larger display, and gaming-focused laptop, or Razer for top-tier performance and portability, suitable for a wider range of professional applications. Give Feedback

The Razer Blade 15 and ASUS TUF Gaming F17 are both good for general use, though the Razer Blade 15 is somewhat better.
The Razer Blade 15 offers a better experience for general use due to its superior main processor and double the RAM, which contribute to smoother multitasking and faster performance, as well as higher screen quality with a sharper display, making for clearer visuals. In contrast, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 has less powerful components and a lower resolution screen which might not be as vibrant or detailed, but it compensates with a larger display for more screen real estate; however, its heavier weight and shorter battery life make it less portable and suitable for on-the-go usage compared to the Razer Blade 15.

The Razer Blade 15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is only fair.
The Razer Blade 15 outperforms the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for gaming and 3D tasks due to its more powerful GPU (Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti vs. RTX 3050 Ti) and higher screen refresh rate (240Hz vs. 144Hz), enhancing performance and visual fluidity, while the ASUS offers lower gaming capabilities at a presumably more accessible price point. Additionally, the Razer has a superior screen quality with higher resolution and a broader color coverage, making it ideal for more demanding graphics work; in contrast, the ASUS has a fair display for gaming but may not be as vibrant for high-end visual content.

The Razer Blade 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 is only fair.
The Razer Blade 15 outperforms the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 as it offers a stronger CPU and GPU combination, double the RAM, and a higher-resolution screen, making it very good for demanding engineering and design tasks; however, the ASUS, with a fair portability score, might be easier to carry than the Razer, which has a superior portability rating but comes at a higher cost. While both have quality keyboards and are relatively quiet, the Razer's speaker quality is rated higher, contributing to a better overall multimedia experience.

The Razer Blade 15 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17's screen offers decent resolution and brightness, making it clear and easy to read, though its panel type may not be the highest quality. Meanwhile, the Razer Blade 15 provides crisp images with its high-resolution display and superior panel quality, delivering vibrant colors and sharpness that's beneficial for both everyday tasks and professional design work, where color accuracy linked to wider color gamuts is crucial. However, for gaming and 3D applications where motion clarity is key, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, which means less smooth visuals compared to screens optimized for fast-paced scenes.

"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The 2022 Blade 15 offers roughly 15 to 25 percent faster graphics performance and 20 percent faster CPU performance over last year's Core i7-11800H and RTX 3080 model. Thankfully, the system doesn't need to run noticeably louder or warmer to achieve faster results, but both power consumption and battery life take a hit. The higher consumption in particular appears to be a trend amongst many 12th gen Core laptops including the Schenker Uniwill Technology GM7AG8P or MSI Vector GP66 when compared to their previous generation counterparts. We're also glad to not see below-average CPU performance which was the case for the 10th gen Core i7-10875H model."
