If you prioritize a larger screen and dedicated graphics for gaming or graphical work with a longer battery life but can accept a heavier and larger laptop, the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 can be a good choice. Conversely, if you prefer a more portable laptop with a higher resolution touchscreen, better build quality, longer battery life and don't need a dedicated GPU, the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo offers these features at a higher price point. The MSI is also more suitable if you need a machine with a faster processor and more memory, which is beneficial for multitasking and professional applications, although it's not as well-suited for intensive gaming due to its integrated graphics. The MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F17 offers a balance suitable for everyday tasks with decent resolution and brightness, but its color gamut coverage may be lacking for engineering and design work where color accuracy is vital. On the other hand, the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo provides a higher resolution and superior color accuracy, making it an excellent option for engineering design professionals who prioritize detailed and true-to-life color representation. However, due to the lower refresh rates on both these laptops, neither is ideal for gaming or 3D rendering where smooth and responsive visuals are crucial.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 and the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo compare to other laptops
"One of the Asus TUF Gaming F17’s highlights is without a doubt its excellent gaming performance. The fact that Asus configured the RTX 3060 GPU for its specified maximum of 140 W is became immediately noticeable in our benchmarks. For a 17-inch notebook the F17 also offers a very long battery life, which makes it somewhat portable. On the flip side is the display. It may be saved by its good overall contrast ratio, but its overall brightness is simply too low, and its response times are too slow for a gaming device. The F17’s successor needs to improve upon this."
"The MSI Summit E14 Flip convertible review: a legit alternative to HP, Dell or Lenovo. Instead of taking the 13-inch Summit E13 Flip and simply enlarging it for a 14-inch form factor, the Summit E14 Flip is the full chassis redesign we've been looking for. It loses some of the golden trims of its smaller sibling, but the gains in rigidity and build quality are arguably worth it especially from a professional standpoint where reliability takes priority. It doesn't quite feel as strong as the HP Spectre just yet, but it's certainly getting close."
